About Forge & Hull
Built for vessels that cannot afford to stop.
For more than four decades, Forge & Hull has supplied the propulsion, navigation, deck, and auxiliary components that keep commercial fleets, offshore platforms, and naval auxiliaries moving. We exist for one reason: when a part is needed at berth in Rotterdam, on anchor off Singapore, or mid-transit in the South Atlantic, it has to be the right part, certified, traceable, and on the deck plate fast.
Our origin
Forge & Hull was founded in 1978 in Hamburg as a workshop machining replacement shafts and bearings for North Sea cargo operators. What began as a single forge has grown into an integrated marine supply network spanning more than 140 ports, 22 regional warehouses, and partnerships with the world's most respected OEMs in main engines, gearboxes, bridge electronics, and deck gear.
What we do
We engineer, source, certify, and distribute marine components across four core categories: Propulsion, Navigation, Deck Gear, and Maintenance. Every part in our catalog is matched to vessel-class requirements and shipped with the documentation a chief engineer or port surveyor expects to see: material certificates, type approvals, and full traceability back to the manufacturing batch.
Our field engineering team works directly with crews and shoreside technical managers to specify replacements, plan dry-dock packages, and resolve in-service failures — often within a single tide.
Who we serve
- Commercial shipping operators — container, bulk, tanker, and Ro-Ro fleets
- Offshore energy — drilling rigs, supply vessels, and wind-farm support craft
- Naval auxiliaries and coast guard fleets
- Shipyards and repair facilities sourcing new-build and refit packages
- Fishing fleets and specialized workboat operators
How we operate
We hold consignment stock close to the trade lanes that need it most, run a 24/7 technical desk staffed by ex-seagoing engineers, and back every order with class-society documentation. When something fails at sea, you do not have time to chase a parts catalog. You call us, and the part is moving before your next watch change.
